• Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly and courteous service.
• Work with a great team and receive all required training for the position.
• Register sales on a point-of-sale system by scanning items, itemizing and totaling customer's purchases.
• Any other duties needed to help drive Gateway Co-ops vision and abide by our Co-operative's values.

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 19 years or older in age.
• Experience as a grocery clerk or retail experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, people and customer service skills.
• Must be able to multi-task in a very fast paced environment and have capability to work independently.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal expertise and energetic personality.
• Physically able to do heavy lifting of 22 kgs (50 lbs.), climbing, kneeling.
• Willing to work all shifts scheduled including mornings, evenings and weekends.
