Job Description
This position is responsible for the installation & troubleshooting of all CNC machines and miscellaneous other equipment with minimum assistance and performing TPMs in a timely manner with proper coordination with production, engineering, and other departments. Successful candidates will have forward‑thinking, continuous improvement capabilities, and maintain 100% adherence to Morgan Olson’s safety & PPS practices and policies, along with excellent attendance, self‑motivation, teamwork skills, and the ability to work overtime as needed.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES
- Troubleshoot and repair CNCs and other related production and facility machine‑related problems, including robotics and laser systems.
- Accurately report technical conditions and information on all facets of maintenance as needed to production and maintenance employees.
- Work as required with minimal or no supervision, along with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize small to large repairs. Schedule repairs through completion as needed on a regular basis.
- Travel as needed. (Possible training, cross‑line action, etc.)
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs. without aid.
- Interact with other employees on use and repair of CNC & other miscellaneous equipment in a complete and organized manner.
- Must be proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints, miscellaneous PLCs, ladder logic, and various schematics associated with production and facility equipment. (Programming a plus)
- Complete required weekly & monthly TPMs, PMs & PPS reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills overall.
- Two‑year technical school degree in Engineering principles, a Journeyman’s license, or a suitable combination of education and work experience.
- Experience in computer software/file management is a must.
