Position: Assembly Supervisor (Expander)

Overview

Position: Supervisor
Salary Grade: E2

Purpose: Lead designated team to achieve improved quality and productivity; train, mentor and intentionally develop team members; develop, implement, and achieve appropriate strategically focused team goals.

Responsibilities

  • Naturally and consistently demonstrate leadership and innovation with team members and others within and outside the company, including:
    • Be a positive influence and a driver for continuous improvement on the specific assigned team, and on individuals and teams up and down the organization.
    • Organize and conduct concise and logical presentations, discussions and reports as required.
    • Carry a willingness for innovation and a positive attitude toward trying new ideas.
    • Convey a spirit of teamwork, courtesy and respect through effective listening and seeking to learn from others.
  • Hold self and others accountable to company and department standards and expectations by completing effective employee reviews, following up with all direct reports on performance issues, and understanding and following all BOT processes and procedures.
    • Clearly communicate job performance expectations and hold each direct report accountable to achieve expectations. Ensure job descriptions accurately reflect performance expectations.
    • Attend regular supervisor training sessions and effectively implement company strategies.
  • Set an example of working hard and doing the right things; exhibit energy, positivity, and willingness to perform assignments beyond the minimum requirements.
  • Influence team by working together to set and achieve required strategic goals and audit goals regularly to ensure improvement and achievement.
    • Fiscal accountabilities include the responsible utilization of equipment, materials, and labor to meet and exceed company profitability targets.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in effective critical thinking and problem-solving including root-cause analysis. Capable of making connections between seemingly unrelated aspects of job assignments.
    • Understand, establish, and achieve Reasonable Expectations (REs) for current position and responsibilities (excellent productivity and quality) and participate in consistent team process audits.
    • Implement effective 5S practices and participate in regular team 5S audits.
Essential Qualifications And Skills
  • A business or science degree from an accredited university (or equivalent experience).
  • Strongly prefer team leadership experience.
  • Critical thinking discipline.
  • Experience with computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, ERP, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret machine, part and assembly drawings and designs.
  • Documentation of a current drug screen must be provided prior to start date.
