The Operations Data Analyst plays a critical role in enabling data-driven operations by designing, automating, and maintaining analytical solutions that convert complex operational data into reliable, actionable insights. This role sits at the intersection of operations, analytics, and automation—ensuring that Power BI reporting, refreshes, alerts, and downstream workflows are standardized, scalable, and aligned with operational priorities. The position supports leadership decision-making by reducing manual reporting effort, improving data timeliness, and enforcing data governance across operational domains.

Responsibilities

and Duties Data Analysis & Insights
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities for process optimization and cost efficiency.
  • Translate operational questions into measurable KPIs and data models that support executive and frontline decision-making.
Power BI Reporting & Automation
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel query models that support operational performance monitoring.
  • Implement and manage Power BI and other data-related automations, including:
  • Scheduled and incremental dataset refresh strategies
  • Data-driven alerts and threshold-based notifications
  • Integration with Power Automate for workflow triggers, approvals, and exception handling
  • Reduce manual reporting and reconciliation by automating recurring operational reports and scorecards.
Governance, Documentation & Compliance
  • Document data pipelines, Power BI models, automation logic, and reporting standards to ensure auditability and continuity.
  • Enforce data governance, security, and privacy requirements, including HIPAA compliance and role-based access controls.
  • Partner with Operations Standards leadership to standardize definitions, metrics, and reporting expectations across teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate across department teams to gather requirements and prioritize automation opportunities.
  • Serve as a technical translator between operational stakeholders and data systems, ensuring solutions are practical and sustainable.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements tools, workflows, and automation patterns.
Qualifications Education Required

High School or better.

Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis or a related role, preferably in an operational setting.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Familiarity with data integration and working with large datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Work Environment
  • Work is performed in a typical office or remote setting.
