Project Manager - Marine Construction

Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager with marine construction experience to oversee projects from planning through completion. This role is responsible for managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and field operations while ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within scope. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in the marine construction trade and a strong technical foundation.

Responsibilities

• Manage marine construction projects from award through closeout
• Coordinate daily activities with field crews, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
• Review project plans, specifications, and contract requirements
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Communicate regularly with clients, engineers, and internal teams
• Support estimating efforts during downtime, including quantity takeoffs and bid preparation
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in marine construction as a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar role
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required
• Marine construction experience is required
• Familiarity with estimating practices and job cost controls
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid preferred; willingness to learn required
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
