Driver Trainer – Severnside Depot (GL10 2DG
)
We are recruiting for a Driver Trainer within the Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business. In this role you will deliver high‑quality driver assessments, inductions and ongoing development training, including CPC and fuel‑efficient driving techniques. You will promote safety culture, support compliance, provide post‑incident training, maintain compliance records and work closely with transport and compliance teams to uphold best practices.

: 5 on 2 off – Sunday to Thursday, 10 am to 8 pm (flexible)
Rate of Pay
: £16.63 per hour plus £40 per week Driver Trainer Supplement

• Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
• Effective team member who works well independently
• Excellent attitude, self‑motivated, positive and extremely reliable
• HGV Class 1 Licence (LGV Cat C+E)
• Current CPC and digital driving card
• No more than 6 minor points on the driving licence (no CD, DD, DR or IN)

• Conduct pre‑employment driver assessments for Permanent and Agency drivers
• Support MMID Health and Safety culture, including local safety campaigns
• Collaborate with the Lead Driver Trainer to organise safety roadshows, local driver forums and national events
• Promote and deliver driver development, including Safe & Fuel‑Efficient Driving aligned to performance indicators (Connexus)
• Support driver CPC periodic training requirements
• Support internal LGV training opportunities
• Deliver all aspects of new driver induction and existing driver development training, including vehicle and trailer familiarisation and manual handling techniques
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and GDPR rules
• Support SSoW processes and associated driver documentation
• Confirm driver vocational licence entitlements are valid during pre‑employment
• Maintain accurate data in the Tachomaster analysis compliance system
• Support the Lead Driver Trainer in EU & RTWTD infringement remedial action
• Complete post‑accident remedial training
• Communicate effectively with Compliance and Transport teams to achieve best practice
• Risk assess routes, deliveries and collection locations
• Undertake other duties as required
