Job OverviewAn Assistant Regional Supply Chain Manager position within NWSSP Supply Chain Logistics & Transport.
Responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Area Manager and Regional Supply Chain Manager in managing the functions at each of the 10 R&D (Receipt & Distribution) sites in South West Wales. Mainly based in West Wales, covering Swansea Bay and Hywel Dda Health board areas, with occasional visits to South Wales areas.
Main Duties- Work closely with Area & Regional Managers to provide feedback on quality and updates on issues at designated sites.
- Adhere to NWSSP Core Values:
Listening & Learning, Working Together, Taking Responsibility and Innovation. - Ensure training and mandatory compliance is up to date.
- Monitor KPI attainment.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure high‑quality service.
- Manage and develop R&D functions across various sites.
- Manage staff sickness in line with the Managing Attendance at Work policy.
- Travel across all 10 R&D sites; a vehicle will be provided or expenses reimbursed.
- Participate in and manage meetings with service providers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Develop relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Essential:
- Able to travel across sites promptly.
- Understanding of training, compliance, audits and KPIs.
- IT literate.
Desirable:
- Understanding of supply chain, receipt & distribution functions.
- Experience managing staff across sites.
- Experience using Oracle.
Welsh language skills are desirable.
