Senior Bridge Engineer

Our client, a leader in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer on a contract or permanent basis. You will play a crucial part in leading projects aimed at maintaining and enhancing highway structures, ensuring value for the county's users. There is an ambitious programme of major projects designed to enhance the transport network and stimulate the local economy.

This will provide you with opportunities to be involved in the design and construction of new and notable structures.

• Leading bridge design, assessment, and inspection projects
• Ensuring high standards of Health and Safety compliance
• Managing stakeholder relationships and keeping all parties informed
• Providing technical guidance to team members
• Coordinating with various project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Overseeing the quality control of structural designs and reports
• Acting as a role model for high standards of practice and conduct
• Contributing to the professional development of junior engineers

• Expertise in structural engineering and bridge design
• Experience in the development of highways structure projects, assessments, and inspections
• Passion for projects that positively impact local communities
• Excellent knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation
• Confident communication skills for effective stakeholder management
• Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status with a professional institution
• A degree in civil engineering or an equivalent qualification
