General SummaryThe Assembly & Repair Technician is primarily responsible for the assembly, service, and conversions of all products that Kraft Fluid Systems represents and sells through distribution. Additionally, you will use blueprints, schematics, testing equipment and other technologies to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
Essential Duties and Tasks- Assemble and test hydraulic assemblies including valves, cartridges, gearboxes, power units, and custom hydraulic integrated circuits (HIC).
- Electric motor and drive assembly, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Evaluation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of various hydraulic equipment including pumps, motors, and valves.
- Opportunities with electrical wiring, fabrication, and welding.
- Work in partnership with internal departments to meet the customer's service and support needs.
- Assist and support various warehouse and service center functions on an as needed basis.
- Stay current with new product and service requirements for all products Kraft represents.
- Service center maintenance (filtration and test equipment).
- Stay current on vendor service training (travel may be required) and available e‑learning courses.

- Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to interpret schematics, CAD drawings, and parts diagrams is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, stoop, kneel, bend.
- Perform other duties as directed or required.
Work is performed from headquarters in Strongsville, OH.
EffortMust be self-starting and able to bring assigned projects to completion without constant oversight.
Minimum QualificationsA 2-year technical degree or equivalent level of experience preferred. A strong mechanical interest and high level of mechanical aptitude is a must. Preferential consideration to those who hold an International Fluid Power Society certification, but not required.
A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted when competency in the role is demonstrated. Successful performance on pre-employment tests is required.
