Position Overview

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Press Brake Operator who takes pride in precision work and understands the importance of quality and consistency. In this role, you'll operate press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal components used in power and industrial systems. This is a contract-to-hire role, offering a clear path to permanent employment after a successful introductory period.

Shift Options

• 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• Weekend
  
  Shift:
  • Friday: 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM
  • Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Pay & Employment Details

• Pay Range: $22-$28 per hour (based on experience and skill level)
• Employment Type:

• Contract Length: 90 days
• Hire-In Benefits:
  Begin the 1st of the month following permanent hire

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to form sheet metal parts to specification
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
• Select and install appropriate tooling, including punches and dies
• Adjust machine settings such as bend angle, pressure, and speed
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Document production data and maintain accurate work records
• Identify quality concerns or equipment issues and communicate them promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work area
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous press brake operation experience (2+ years preferred)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Experience using basic measurement tools
• Solid math skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Experience

• CNC press brake operation
• Sheet metal fabrication background
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
• Additional fabrication or welding experience

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/industrial setting
• Personal protective equipment required
• Emphasis on safety, quality, and consistency
