$5,000 sign on bonus paid in 5 payments over the first year

mon-fri 6am - 4:30pm

essential duties and responsibilities:

• fabricate replacement and/or new designed parts/die details, capable of deciphering and reading technical drawings, has ability to analyze specifications
• lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, fit, and assemble parts to make and repair dies.
• capability to make jigs, fixtures, gauges, and use machinists' hand tools.
• assist with die installation, capability to set and change dies, first part verification, ability to polish and perform preventative maintenance on dies, and can fit and assemble die components into existing dies.
• set up and properly run the various equipment in the machine shop including lathes, mills, saws, drill presses, grinders etc. To meet engineering specifications.
• ensure all proper housekeeping is completed for the machine shop.
• ensure all safety requirements are maintained while setting up, running, and maintaining the machine shop equipment.
• maintain all required tools for successful set-up, operation, and maintenance of the machine shop equipment.
• help as needed to back up various tech center personnel.
• works with all other plant personnel to ensure efficient operation.
• assist management team with any other duties or responsibilities as required.

qualifications and skills:

• high school diploma or ged required.
• minimum of 4 years related experience or training; a must.
• solid knowledge and experience with tools and equipment used for machining parts and maintaining metal stamping dies. Including but not limited to lathes, milling machine, drill press, surface grinder, and i.d./o.d. Grinders.
• ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently.
• experience in a high volume fast paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• ability to effectively manage competing priorities
• promote collaboration by bringing cross functional resources together to solve problems related to die / tooling performance
• inspire trust within work groups
• adapt seamlessly to changes in priorities and demands

At our streetsboro facility, we have a metal stamping plant to provide component parts for our pails. Our goal is to continuously provide our customers with quality pails through excellent service at an outstanding value.
