We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Collections Coordinator for our client in the Streetsboro area. The ideal candidate will have strong business to business collections experience and a passion for process improvement. In this role, you will support the overall operations of the Accounts Receivable and Collections Department, ensuring timely collection of past due balances, accurate application of payments, and responsive communication with customers.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and brings both technical competency and a positive, professional demeanor. This position will sit onsite for a few months and then will have the potential go to hybrid based on performance.
- Make regular collection contact with past due customers and escalate issues when appropriate
- Communicate with customers via phone and email to resolve questions and concerns
- Assist in monitoring and responding to inquiries received through the shared inbox
- Research and resolve unapplied cash and ensure accurate payment posting
- Identify and correct invoice discrepancies, including rebills and rejection resolutions
- Maintain accurate documentation and keep management informed of significant collection issues.
- At least 3 years of business to business collections experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups
- Ability to manage high transaction volume and multitask effectively
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and resolve complex account issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, team‑oriented personality and an interest in continuous process improvement
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability
