Sr. Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, focusing on maintaining the integrity of accounting processes and providing valuable insights through financial analysis. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to process improvements, collaborate with multiple departments, and support various accounting functions critical to our organization.

Responsibilities:

- Perform month-end closing procedures, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.

- Generate and review month-end financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Monitor and post daily production data while reconciling company credit card and cash accounts.

- Support inventory management processes, including cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliations.

- Collaborate with the Operations team to maintain accurate Bill of Materials for finished goods.

- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely execution.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.

- Provide analytical support for cost accounting activities and inventory assessments.

- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial tasks as assigned.

- Utilize accounting software to streamline reporting and data management

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

- Minimum of 8-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial transactions.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.

- Strong analytical abilities with a focus on inventory cost accounting.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently8-10
