Posted Range: $51,140-$71,230

The base salary range represents a good faith salary range for this position. This position is eligible for annual incentive pay and has the opportunity for continued salary growth. Key Accountabilities
  • Reading water meters, discontinuing and restoring water service to customers’ premises, removal of and resetting of meters, perform J.U.L.I.E. locates.
  • Installation and/or maintenance of water mains, valves, services, meter settings, fire hydrants, and any other duties assigned by foreperson or management.
  • Follow all safety rules and safe operating procedures established by the company; keep accurate time and material records for performance purposes.
  • Position requires being on call on weekly rotation schedule.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Strong work ethic, verbal/written communication, time management, safety consciousness, mathematical, map reading, as well as organizational and team membership skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude, including the ability/knowledge to start up, operate, shut down, and make operating adjustments to all equipment as well as be capable of using hand tools and learning water utility terms.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and be understood and understand others over a cell phone.
  • Must be courteous with internal and external contacts.
  • Must be available for after-hours work and other emergencies.
  • A valid Illinois non CDL Class C Driver license required with a clean MVR and shall obtain certification(s) as required by the company.
  • A Class C Water license preferred, or willingness to obtain within 3 years of hire date.
  • Computer and iPad use a plus.
  • Experience/Education 0-2 years in water industry.
  • High school degree (or equivalent) required.

  • This position requires outdoor work.
  • This role will require over time and call outs as necessary.
