Full-Time | Early Shift (4:00 AM – 12:30 PM) | Monday–Friday (Occasional Saturdays)
Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys keeping equipment running at peak performance? We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team and play a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
About The CompanyWith over 96 years of experience, Randolph Packing Co. in Streamwood, IL, is an industry leader in manufacturing high-quality fresh, cooked, and smoked "Old World Style" ethnic sausage, specialty sausage, and sausage-related products.
What You’ll Do- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
- Repair or replace faulty components to restore equipment performance
- Support the installation and start-up of new equipment
- Use electrical testing and measuring instruments to identify and resolve issues
- Document maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment failures
- Track and manage spare parts usage
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of:
- Industrial electrical wiring and 3-phase systems up to 480V
- AC/DC motors and motor controls
- PLCs, drives, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift in a manufacturing environment
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly (heavier loads with assistance)
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
- Manual dexterity for tools and precision work
- Good vision (with or without corrective lenses)
- First shift: 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM
- Monday–Friday;
Saturdays as needed - Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) - $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
- Overtime opportunities when production requires
