Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

+ Take ownership of two existing PCB enclosure designs, driving sustaining improvements and releases.

+ Lead rapid prototyping and hands-on troubleshooting in both manufacturing and field settings.

+ Design for environmental sealing and robust cable/connector interfaces, including routing, strain relief, and ingress protection.

+ Collaborate with Electrical/RF teams to plan and execute environmental and EMI/EMF evaluations.

+ Plan and conduct thermal and vibration tests, translating results into iterative design updates.

+ Produce clear DFx (DFM/DFA) documentation, drawings, stack-ups, and release artifacts.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to operate successfully under pressure in fast-paced hardware environments.

+ Experience in PCB enclosure design for manufacturability and reliability.

+ Familiarity with environmental, thermal, vibration, and EMI/EMF testing workflows.

+ Proficiency in DFx (DFM/DFA), GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and release documentation.

+ Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Electrical/RF and test engineering teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Streamwood, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $67.00/hr.
