Also requires the ability to read and interpret drawings, to use shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments, equivalent to 2 years high school plus 2 to 3 years trades training. Plan and perform standard inspection operations on a variety of sheet metal, welded, glass, rubber, chemical machined, shot peened, or routine machined parts and assemblies. Follow ordinary drawings, written and oral instructions to inspect a variety of sheet metal, welded, glass, rubber, chemical machined, shot peened, or routine machined parts and assemblies. Work with gages, templates, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to insure adherence to specifications.
Report and correct deviations in operational procedures, routing sequences, and process requirements as directed. Dimensionally inspect standard items to specification and visually for dents, scratches, cracks, burrs, sharp edges, and other surface irregularities. Inspect routine welds for uniformity of bead, cracks, burn through, porosity, etc. Check parts and assemblies for required machining, hardness, and finish. Maintain and process paperwork as required and perform related or similar inspection operations when directed.
Refer unusual conditions to leadman or foreman.

- Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
- Basic use of Sikorsky and Microsoft software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
