WHAT WE'RE DOING
The Sikorsky Aerostructures Product Center is responsible for the manufacture, procurement and assembly of helicopter airframe structures. The Product Center has an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Operations Manager at our Bridgeport, CT facility where sub‑assembly, major assembly, composite manufacturing and hydraulic and pneumatic tube fabrication are conducted in support of UH/HH-60M, HH-60W and CH-53K programs. This position will report directly to the Aerostructures Bridgeport Operations Senior Manager and is responsible for providing leadership over Major and Sub‑assembly Operations on 2nd and 3rd shifts including oversight over the area supervisors and hourly associates.
THEWORK
- Manages the planning, preparation, issuance, and control of production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
- Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.

Your ability to manage direct and indirect budgets and comply with company ethics policies is second to none.

- 2+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience managing Material logistics processes.
- Proficient in SAP software.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Previous experience working within the Sikorsky organization.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
