We are currently seeking an Account Payable/Receivable Specialist to join the team.
This position is onsite in our Stratford CT office.
- Entering all accounts payable in accounting program.
- Pay accounts payable from the bank, by check or through accounting program.
- Record payments in accounting program.
- Maintain files of invoices and contracts within accounting system or external SharePoint.
- Obtain from new vendors necessary information for their set‑up and payment.
- Manage monthly invoicing and Accounts Receivable balances, follow up with sites.
- Record payments made by our customers.
- Prepare financial reports such as AR & AP aging’s and expense analysis reports.
- Complete expense variance analysis during month‑end close.
- Process annual 1099s for our AP vendors.
- Maintaining and updating all bank and credit card transactions in accounting program.
- Download bank statements and complete monthly reconciliations.
- Perform review and report any unclaimed funds.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
- Ensuring records and processes comply with company and legal regulations.
- Degree in accounting required.
- More than three years of general accounting experience, either in public accounting firm or in a private corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Net Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
