Probate Solicitor – Co-op

Co‑op Legal Services is seeking a skilled Probate Solicitor to join our specialist probate team. You will manage a varied caseload of probate cases from start to finish, using our innovative case‑management system and AI‑enabled tools, and will contribute to a client‑focussed, high‑performance culture.

Base pay range

£32,000‑£65,000 – dependent on experience (Work Level 6A or Work Level
5). Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, with part‑time options available. Hybrid working: colleagues alternate time between home and any of our Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol or Stratford‑upon‑Avon offices.

What you’ll do
  • Own a caseload of probate cases of varying complexity from initiation to settlement, using our case‑management system and AI tools.
  • Ensure accurate recording of information in the system.
  • Engage primarily with clients via telephone and email.
  • Collaborate with expert team support to develop legal and administrative skills; junior members receive mentoring from you.
This role would suit people who have
  • Qualified as a solicitor or legal executive in private practice (CILEX or STEP), or equivalent experience in probate law.
  • A strong initiative and ability to prioritise and organise work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Client‑focused approach with ability to build positive relationships remotely.
