Pay Rate: £39.07 per hour – Umbrella PAYE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Product Development Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of products, components, equipment, systems and technologies within a forward-thinking engineering environment.

The Technical Product Development Manager will influence product strategy and engineering best practice at both operational and cross-functional levels.

• Lead research and development activities to enhance existing products and develop new technical solutions
• Ensure research and design methodologies comply with recognised scientific and engineering standards
• Assist in the formulation of business plans and budgets for product development programmes
• Analyse quality and safety test results to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
• Monitor development outcomes to ensure technical, functional, cost and timing targets are achieved
• Keep on top of new developments in the industry and translating those developments into new and viable options for the organisation and customers
• Organise and deliver technical presentations to customers and industry groups
  
  Implement policy and strategy to achieve defined short-term operational objectives
• Influence cross‑functional teams on engineering policies, practices and procedures
