Senior Reliability Engineer

Location: Gaydon

Expleo is looking to hire a Reliability Engineering - Senior Engineer to work with our customer based in Gaydon on a contract basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge automotive projects within a world-class engineering environment.

This role sits within the Durability & Robustness attribute team, part of a wider Driven Attribute Integration organisation. As a Senior Engineer, you will ensure all customer expectations for Durability & Robustness are met through appropriate target setting, design development, and completion of whole vehicle verification activities using both virtual and physical test methods.

Key Responsibilities:

Support delivery of all Attribute Requirement targets by Gateway.
Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved.
Detail strategy & delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests & driven vehicle DV activities.
Work with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets.
Work with component engineers and suppliers as required to drive resolution of engineering issues.
Deliver technical recommendations and test and issue status reports.
Ensure all lessons learnt from the current vehicle are captured and fed back to the Programme Attribute Team and progressed as necessary.

Required

Skills and Experience:

Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Knowledge/experience of engineering test activities.
Knowledge/experience of automotive technologies or systems.
Project Management experience.
Understanding of Durability & Strength principles.
Project management of complex engineering test activities.

Experience of problem solving including application of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, DoE etc.
