About the School

Venture Academy is a specialist school for children and young people aged 9‑16 years with autism and/or a social, emotional or mental health diagnosis. The school has a capacity for 50 students and is based in Henley‑in‑Arden, Warwickshire.

Mac Intyre Academies is a leading Special Academy Trust that provides outstanding outcome‑focused state education for children and young people with autism and additional needs. The Trust operates four Academies:
Endeavour (Oxford), Discovery (Nuneaton), Quest (Nuneaton) and Venture (Henley‑in‑Arden).

We are currently recruiting inspirational and creative Teaching Assistants to join this exciting school. You will report to the Class Teacher and the Higher‑Level Teaching Assistant, supporting the delivery of teaching and learning and modelling best practice to enable successful learning and achievement.

• Supporting students in their academic, social and emotional development.

• Managing challenging behaviour and teaching safer, more effective communication strategies.

• Working within the school’s safeguarding framework and contributing to a safe learning environment.

• Collaborating with teachers and support staff to personalise learning for each pupil.
