We are seeking a hands-on Site Manager to support the Project Manager in delivering the construction and civils phase of a £30m warehousing development. This permanent role combines leadership with practical, on site involvement, making it ideal for an experienced industrial construction professional who thrives in a fast paced, high value environment.

You will oversee daily site operations, coordinate trades and subcontractors, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure the project runs on time and within budget. This is a hands on leadership role requiring a proactive, problem solving approach and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate trades and subcontractors while actively participating on-site
  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work meets programme, budget, and quality targets
  • Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and enforce H&S, environmental, and CDM compliance
  • Coordinate material deliveries, logistics, and resource allocation
  • Assist with programme tracking, progress reporting, and issue escalation
  • Maintain accurate site records: labour hours, deliveries, inspections, and incidents
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, engineers, and suppliers to resolve challenges quickly
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Foreman on industrial projects £30m+
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, CDM regulations, and site safety standards
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification and valid CSCS card
  • Ability to lead teams effectively while being hands-on on site
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills
  • Hands-on experience with modern construction techniques
  • Ability to mentor and develop site teams
  • Familiarity with digital site reporting tools
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices
Package
  • £70,(Apply online only) - £100,(Apply online only) per annum, plus pension, vehicle allowance, and overtime opportunities.
