Leading civil and groundworks company is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work a variety of projects throughout the UK. Projects include earthworks, excavation, drainage, 278 works, groundworks.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s growing team. Our office is based in Stratford‑upon‑Avon and we have projects in various locations across the UK including Oxford, Bristol, Swindon and the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail‑oriented, commercially aware, and skilled at delivering cost‑effective solutions across a range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities
• Manage project costs and track financial performance throughout project life cycles
• Conduct tender analysis and prepare tender documentation
• Assess subcontractor quotations and manage procurement processes
• Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and variations
• Liaise with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure accurate cost control
• Provide commercial advice and reporting to the senior team
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and industry standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (minimum 2+ years preferred)
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills
• Proficiency with cost management and estimating software
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
