School Chef

Salary - £23,161 - £25,355

Location - East London

Contract - Permanent - 37.5hours per week (Term Time only)

Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and plan for creative and nutritionally well-balanced meals.
Manage and undertake the daily operations of the kitchen to meet required standards.
Support with the purchasing of the required ingredients and equipment
Ensure high standards of hygiene, health and safety and food safety requirements are implemented
Ensure cleaning and hygiene of the kitchen is to a high standard.
Lead on the putting away of deliveries, stock rotation and ensure stock room is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Ensure temperature checks and relevant records completed.
Encourage pupils to choose healthy balanced meal options.
Promote the safety and well-being of the pupils at all times and to ensure that any Child Protection/Family Protection concerns are communicated appropriately senior staff.
