Commissioning Lead - Pharmaceutical

We are recruiting a Commissioning Lead to join a leading Pharmaceutical Capital project in the South East of the UK. As the Commissioning Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the transition of a new Labs and R&D facility from construction completion into safe, compliant, and fully operational use.

This is a project until the end of June 2027 and is fully site based due to nature of the role.

• Develop and own the Commissioning Strategy, Commissioning Plan, and Master Commissioning Schedule.
• Lead commissioning meetings and workshops with contractors, design teams, and stakeholders.
• Ensure commissioning documentation is produced, reviewed, and approved, including pre‑functional checklists, functional test procedures, and test results.
• Act as the commissioning liaison with Operational Readiness, Operations, FM, HSE, IT, and Lab Users.

• Relevant degree in engineering, building services, or a related field.
• Proven industry experience as a Commissioning Lead/Manager on complex construction projects.
• A working knowledge and practical experience with building systems, MEP design, automation controls, and specialist lab systems.
