The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Newham from February 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality English education and inspiring students to develop a love for literature and language.
You will be teaching KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for a suitably experienced candidate. The successful teacher will join a supportive English department with a strong focus on collaboration, professional development, and student progress.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons
Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress effectively
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
Uphold high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and progress
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching English at secondary level (ECTs welcome)
Strong subject knowledge and passion for English
Excellent classroom management skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities
