Job Description:

Conduct property inspections on occupied and void homes across West London & Home Counties as a Building Surveyor.

Prepare detailed work specifications, cost recommendations, and condition reports to manage complex repairs.

Manage contractors, oversee projects, and ensure value for money and high-quality delivery in a Repairs & Maintenance environment.

Resolve resident complaints, Councillor or MP enquiries, and liaise with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service.

Oversee budgets, variations, and insurance-related works including fire, flood, and theft claims.

Skills /

Qualifications:

HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying, or extensive experience as a Building Surveyor in West London or Home Counties.

Proven experience in social housing or similar property environments, including repairs and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of NHF Schedules of Rates, specification writing, and property inspections.

Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills in a Building Surveyor role.

Demonstrable Health & Safety awareness and experience managing budgets and contract compliance.

This Building Surveyor role in West London & Home Counties offers a salary of £48,000–£55,000 plus car allowance and excellent benefits, including pension, health plan, and annual leave.
