Ray Goudy Trailer Repairs are currently looking for an HGV Trailer Technician (Skilled) to join our well‑established team based in Stowmarket, Suffolk.

We are a family‑run business with over 40 years of experience specialising in the repair, servicing, and MOTs of commercial trailers and vehicles. Covering the majority of East Anglia, we pride ourselves on the quality and reliability of our services. • Perform maintenance and repairs on HGV trailers
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
• Complete repair orders and maintain accurate records of work performed
• Ensure compliance with DVSA legislation

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The role includes an expected additional two hours per day, which will be paid at the applicable overtime rate. Standard working hours are 07:30-18:00.

You will ideally have previous experience as an HGV Trailer Technician or in a similar mechanical role, with a strong working knowledge of HGV trailers and their components.

Strong communication and customer service skills are required, as you will be representing the company in a professional manner.

A full, valid driving licence and the ability to reliably commute to the Stowmarket area are essential.

• Welding and structural repair experience
• Knowledge of EBS/ABS braking systems
• HGV licence
