Position Description
Immediate opening for a Dedicated SOLO Non CDL Truck Driver and want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Stow, OH.

Pay and Schedule- Driver Positions Pay Weekly
- Hours Per Week: 48+ hours
- Solo Miles Pay: $0.43 per mile with 1,234 miles per week
- Solo Stops Pay: $12.00 per stop with 51 stops per week
- Paid Training
- Schedule:
Monday – Friday (no weekends) - Start Time: 3:00 AM – 7:00 AM dispatch
- Deliver SOLO to: 80‑mile radius of Stow, OH
- Route:
Local Home Daily - Truck Type:
Box Truck – 16’, 22’ & 26’ - Equipment:
Pallet Jack, Lift Gate & Hand Truck – Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful - Freight:

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Verifiable driving experience in like equipment (straight or box truck):
- 6 months experience in the past 3 years, or
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check; a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities- This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
- Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records of loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer
- Other tasks as assigned
