Overview

On-Demand:
Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style entry-level, part-time position with flexible scheduling. This role is on-demand and may not appear on posted weekly schedules; shifts are picked up via the myTime mobile app. Attendance and responsiveness to shift offers are essential.

Starting hourly rate: $15.50 USD per hour. Pay range: $15.50 USD - $23.25 USD per hour.

You may work as much or as little as you like. If offered a position, you will attend Target Welcome orientation and complete mandatory training. The myTime app is used to pick up shifts.

Guest advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations. They are knowledgeable about store and digital services, and help guests quickly and easily while maintaining high quality. They also support loyalty programs and fulfillment services.

• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience.
• Assist guests with inquiries, solve guest needs, and know available tools, products, and services to address issues.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with food safety standards; minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy.
• Promote and explain Target Loyalty programs and fulfillment services; help guests enroll and use them.
• Educate guests on app features and wallet usage; assist with order pickups (OPU), drive-up orders, and returns.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies as needed.
• Observe safety policies and report hazards; perform duties in a safe manner.
• Support cash handling and cash office processes as needed, and assist with store operations in line with policies.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

• Enjoy helping others and working in a fast-paced, active environment with teamwork and flexible scheduling.
• Willing to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities; comfortable using handheld scanners and store technology.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and remain adaptable to changing store needs.

• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and support cash office duties as needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 44 pounds with or without assistance; ability to stand and move for extended periods.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts and respond to company contact attempts; at least one shift within five months or administrative termination may apply.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
