Position SummaryThe RN Nurse Educator designs, delivers, and evaluates staff education and training programs that strengthen clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and quality resident care
. This role leads onboarding and orientation, supports ongoing competency validation, and partners with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and resident-centered service.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver orientation programs for new nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, STNAs).
Assess ongoing training needs and provide in-service education based on regulatory requirements, performance trends, and clinical best practices.
Coordinate mandatory annual training and competency assessments.
Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, promoting professional development and evidence-based practice.
Collaborate with leadership and department heads to address skill gaps and improve outcomes.
Ensure documentation of all training activities in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Monitor staff compliance with infection control, abuse prevention, resident rights, and other key policies.
Assist in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.

Skills and
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio (in good standing)
CPR Certification (BLS preferred)
Strong background in nursing administration with prior experience in nursing homes as a RN Nurse Educator.
Proficient in managing medical records systems and documentation processes.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Knowledge of acute care practices and the ability to develop effective care plans.
Excellent shift management capabilities to ensure efficient operations.
Strong analytical skills for documentation review and quality assurance processes.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, and external stakeholders.
