RN Charge Nurse

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Charge Nurse to join our growing team.

The Charge Nurse (CN) is responsible for supervising and coordinating patient care duties of professional and non-professional nursing staff on all units during the assigned shift (i.e., evenings, nights, and holidays). The CN serves as a house-wide resource for other staff during the shift to resolve problems and address critical issues.

Position Requirements:

• Required:
  
  Associate's Degree in Nursing. Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing
• Required Certification:
  Current BLS certification at hire, ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire, PALS certification within 6 months, FEMA HICS 100, 200 and 700.
• Special Requirements:
  Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training-every two years on a rolling calendar.

  Competency:
  
  Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
• Microsoft Office Suite
  
  Skills:
  
  Intermediate Skills - Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas and prepare charts for reports.

• Every 3rd Weekend, 7:00 p.m.
