Manufacturing Quality Auditor, Trailer Assemblies

Make Every Trailer Road-Ready

As a Manufacturing Quality Auditor, you will be the last line of defense between our assembly line and the open road. Your mission is to verify that trailers, parts, and sub-assemblies meet company quality standards, engineering drawings, and customer specifications before they move on.

• Begin at the line, rotating through sub‑assemblies and final assembly to monitor checkpoints designated by the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Use hands‑on tools and test equipment to validate build quality: brake test machine, light tester, man lift, bumper jack, ABS tester, wrenches, and a tape measure.
• Compare work against engineering drawings, company standards, and customer requirements; flag any nonconformance.
• Document pass/fail decisions, sign off on applicable forms, and provide clear reasons for any rejection.
• Partner with management to help initiate corrective actions when acceptance or reliability standards are not met.
• Keep assembly line leadership informed in real time about out‑of‑spec conditions, especially when patterns appear across multiple units.
• Maintain daily off‑the‑line status reports for every unit leaving sub‑assembly and final assembly.
• Submit ongoing product quality appraisals to the leaders whose teams directly influence the final unit’s physical outcome.
• Work safely, efficiently, and productively, supporting team goals and adhering to all company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate reliable, on‑time attendance and be available for mandatory overtime as needed.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent (education and experience considered).
• Certification: FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) test with mandatory recertification every two years.
• Proficiency:
  Quality inspection and quality control experience.
• Technical:
  Basic computer literacy; ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Communication:
  Fluent in English, spoken and written; bilingual skills are a plus. Strong written and verbal communication.
• Collaboration:
  
  Comfortable working with manufacturing hourly employees and all levels of management.
• Traits:
  Detail‑oriented, motivated, and organized.

• Comprehensive orientation.
• Company‑provided training on trailer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality assurance checking procedures.
• Training to operate measuring and test equipment used in this role.
• As applicable, training on Utility or Golf Carts and Aerial Lifts (Genie, Wave, Manlifts).
