Accounting Manager
Responsibilities
- Build and provide leadership to the AP team including all hiring, all performance reviews and assessments and other team building activities as appropriate
- Provide necessary staff training to complete work product
- Assure Internal control compliance
- Responsible for managing, reviewing, and improving the AP processes
- Manage AP process changes and new process implementations
- Assist with yearly audit preparation
- Assist with cash forecasting and liquidity analysis
- Build and enhance vendor payment analytics
- Manage/maintain AP software including OnBase and Syteline and any new software that impacts AP
- Work with other internal and external groups to streamline and improve data and information flow, accuracy, and integrity and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Ensure timely payment and special terms are taken advantage of
- Review weekly Check and ACH Payment Runs
- Responsible for building and enhancing AP metrics
- Managing AP metrics and performance
- Responsible for AP/Banking duties (Positive Pay/Payment Processing)
- Responsible for credit application process
- Responsible for all related AP journal entries
- Maintain AP policies & procedures

- Education:
Four-year degree in accounting, finance, or similar field - Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Preferred 10+ years of experience
- Preferred experience in shared services role with exposure to AP/AR
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must be a strong manager capable of understanding comprehensive accounting processes, in multiple areas, while leading/training team members in those processes
- Must have strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lead or assist with multiple different tasks relating to various areas of Accounting
