A global leader operating state-of-the-art facilities across North America and Europe seeks an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at their Stoughton, Wisconsin facility.
This is a key leadership role with full P&L responsibility, overseeing all aspects of production, safety, quality, maintenance, and customer relations. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on leadership style, strong operational acumen, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in a safety-first environment.
What You’ll Do as a Plant Manager:- Lead a safety-focused culture, ensuring all protocols are implemented and continuously improved.
- Oversee day-to-day plant operations, including production, scheduling, quality, maintenance, logistics, and inventory control.
- Manage and mentor department supervisors and key staff to achieve plant performance goals.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, supporting sales efforts and ensuring on-time, high-quality service.
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, standard work practices, and continuous improvement programs.
- Manage all aspects of financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Partner with executive leadership on capital projects, strategic planning, and process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in hot-dip galvanizing or a closely related manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to manage plant operations, people leadership, and full P&L ownership.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, safety systems, and operational KPIs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to travel as needed for training or site support.
