Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer / Product Engineer

Duration: 7+ months

Position Summary:

• Applies basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices to assigned tasks in the design, development, analysis, and release of products and subsystems through the product life cycle.
• Assists in creating design specifications considering application, cost, weight, performance, product life, manufacturing, assembly, and service.
• Verifies design using analysis and/or functional testing, interprets results, drives decisions, and assesses risk.
• Works with other engineering disciplines and cross-functional teams to resolve product issues.
• Evaluates customer needs and aligns requirements with customer expectations.

Responsibilities include:

• Using prescribed and innovative methods with limited guidance.
• Participating as a team member and contributing towards team goals.
• Carrying out partially defined and moderately complex tasks.
• Demonstrating good understanding and application of engineering principles.
• Applying engineering and scientific skills, developing experience in creating engineering solutions.

Nice to haves:

• 3D modeling
• Analysis Led Design (ALD)
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Statistical software experience

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; preference for Mechanical Engineering, but other engineering degrees are acceptable.
• Experience with cross-functional design reviews.
• Knowledge of technical documentation development.
• Understanding of product structure, item compatibility, dependencies, and relationships.
• Basic understanding of Intellectual Property (IP) and its importance.
