Overview

CORT Tradeshow and Events is a company that specializes in delivering and installing furniture for events such as festivals, weddings, corporate events, and even the Super Bowl.

  • This is not a typical dock‑to‑dock Class A driving position. The Delivery Driver works collaboratively as part of the Operations team. You will be responsible for loading, delivering, and installing furniture at Tradeshow and Event venues.
Pay

$29 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Schedule will vary based on the needs of the business; weekends are required.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect furniture to ensure acceptable condition and load the truck safely to protect products from damage during transport.
  • Attend pre‑delivery meetings to review logistics, timelines, and client expectations, and maintain regular communication with the operations team and/or district service representatives.
  • Complete pre‑ and post‑trip truck inspections and clean and prep trucks for future shifts.
  • Complete all required written documentation and operate an electronic logging device, maintaining all records of duty as required by FMCSA.
  • Drive tractor‑trailers, box trucks, or sprinter vans on delivery routes in a safe and lawful manner.
  • Install and assemble furniture at tradeshow or event venues based on floor plans or client instructions, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and aesthetic presentation. Clean, touch up, or perform repairs as needed and use the show site mobile app to document accurate delivery.
  • Inspect furniture for any customer‑inflicted damage, load it in trucks, and ensure no product is left behind at venues.
  • Provide on‑site customer service: interact professionally with clients during deliveries and setups, addressing questions or concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Supervise temporary labor: instruct temporary associates how and where to deliver, pickup, load, or unload products on site, ensuring work is performed safely and as requested.
  • Perform warehouse duties as needed: manually load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, and docks; put items away and organize within the warehouse; unbox and clean products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid and current Class A driver’s license in the state of residency.
  • A minimum of 3 months of professional experience driving a tractor‑trailer; 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs, and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner.
  • Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
  • Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, which includes passing a physical and drug screening.
  • Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements.
  • Acceptable MVR per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards.
  • Per FMSCA Regulations:
    Drivers must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
