Due to our continuous expansion, we're seeking talented individuals to strengthen our team. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at our new Stoughton MA facility.
Job SummaryProvide shop floor support to resolve day-to-day issues that arise as well as to assist with new product introduction activities as directed. Participate in new mold tooling start up and production line/process optimization activities will be required. Provide supervision/mentorship of junior members of the team when needed.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support to the production floor: assembly & testing issues, interfacing with engineers for product changes and new product introduction, maintenance of line documentation including technical specifications and work instructions, managing label files and label printing activities.
- Generate and maintain assembly instructions for new and existing products.
- Manufacturing standards (rate and work center information) for products.
- Identify and initiate tasks for the design and fabrication of assembly aids and fixtures for new and existing products.
- Manufacturing cell layout of production processes for products.
- Implement desired process changes for new and existing products.
- Corrective & preventive action for manufacturing issues that may arise.
- Generate PFMEAs for new or modified existing products.
- Represent manufacturing/operations in design reviews and risk management planning activities as required.
- Train manufacturing personnel as required.
- Strong process control background including use of SPC techniques.
- Cable processing and contact termination background.
- Ability to interpret Engineering specifications.
- Knowledge of IPC standards.
- Leadership qualities.
- At least 10 years’ experience with Associate degree in manufacturing engineering or related, or at least 5 years’ experience with Bachelor’s degree.
- Plastic part design knowledge.
- Plastic processing knowledge.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
- CAD experience (Solid Works preferred).
