Quality Control / Manager, Quality Technician/ Inspector
Overview
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality and plant system integrity through comprehensive physical and visual inspections. This role requires accurate documentation and calculation of inspection results, and the ability to take corrective action when necessary. Key duties include alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting findings to management.
Additional assignments may be assigned as needed.
- Alert appropriate personnel to adjust processes to ensure quality and compliance.
- Identify and isolate non-conforming products and report findings to management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and calculation of inspection results.
- Perform comprehensive physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
- Take corrective actions as necessary and support process improvements as required.
- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industry. - Required or other QA type experience.
- Communication
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Special
Skills:
Ability to accurately complete Tyson paperwork, demonstrate leadership to motivate the hourly workforce, strong problem identification and problem-solving skills, proficiency in math and organizational abilities, ability to read and interpret product specifications, and ability to work under stress. Flexible to work in different locations and at various times as needed. - Physical Requirements:
Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more). - Supervisory:
