About the Role
SBUH is seeking an Interventional Psychiatrist (TMS) in our Adult Outpatient Program. The Clinical Assistant Professor of Interventional Psychiatry will serve as an Attending Psychiatrist in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Program. This position offers clinical opportunities to work with multiple advanced treatment modalities such as pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, ketamine intra nasal or intra venous therapies (KINT or KIVT), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapies, vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) therapies - to treat patients with treatment-resistant mood disorders as well as research opportunities with these novel treatment modalities.
Responsibilities- Work with multiple advanced treatment modalities such as pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, ketamine intra nasal or intra venous therapies (KINT or KIVT).
- Utilize transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapies and vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) therapies.
- Treat patients with treatment-resistant mood disorders.
- Engage in research opportunities with novel treatment modalities.
Required Qualifications:
- M.D./D.O. with Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Adult Psychiatry.
- Eligibility for New York State licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical experience in an Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Program.
- Experience in transcranial magnetic brain stimulation.
- Track record of research/teaching experience in Psychiatry.
- Experience with treating patients with Ketamine.
