Agility Orthopedics is seeking a Radiology Technologist in Stoneham, with flexibility to drive to Malden. Work 40 hours per week, no weekends or holidays.
Job Summary
The Orthopedic Radiology Technician performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, working closely with orthopedic physicians and clinical staff to obtain high-quality images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and regulatory compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesImaging & Clinical Support
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures (X-rays) focused on orthopedic conditions
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate, high‑quality images
- Operate radiologic equipment following established protocols
- Assist physicians during in‑office procedures when imaging support is required
Patient Care & Safety
- Prepare and educate patients on imaging procedures
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety at all times
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles
- Use protective equipment and shielding appropriately
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in the EMR/PACS system
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
- Verify imaging orders and patient identification
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
Equipment & Room Management
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Report equipment issues promptly
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT certification
- Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and positioning techniques
Preferred
- Previous experience in an orthopedic or outpatient imaging setting
- Experience with digital radiography systems
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- EPIC EMR proficiency
- Attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Professional, patient‑centered approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced clinical environment
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed
- Manual dexterity for equipment operation and patient positioning
