Warehouse Associate

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Part‑Time Warehouse Associate to join our team at our Stone Mountain, GA Distribution HUB.

Matthews International is a world‑wide leader in casket manufacturing, providing the highest quality wood, metal and cremation caskets, as well as urns, memorial jewelry and other products to our funeral home customers. This position will be responsible for unloading and loading new caskets onto and off our vehicles. Additionally, you will be tasked with preparations for deliveries and providing valuable support in diverse warehouse activities.

Our Warehouse Associates can expect to work approximately 25 hours per week. This position will have a starting hourly pay rate of $22 per hour.

• You will be loading and unloading caskets and other memorialization products from our various production facilities.
• Preparing products for delivery and unloading products to be stored in our warehouse.
• Scanning products, pulling correct orders and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• 1+ years of previous warehouse experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work 5‑6 hour shifts being on your feet, walking, pushing, pulling products.
• Self‑motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high.
