Warehouse Associate

Position Summary

We consider our Warehouse Associates to be a vital cornerstone of our success. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Part‑Time Warehouse Associate to join our team at our Stone Mountain, GA Distribution HUB.

Matthews International is a worldwide leader in casket manufacturing, providing the highest quality wood, metal and cremation caskets, as well as urns, memorial jewelry and other products to our funeral home customers.

This position will be responsible for unloading and loading new caskets onto and off our vehicles, preparing products for deliveries and providing support in diverse warehouse activities. The shift is an early morning shift, starting at 4 am – 10 am, Monday‑Friday. Our Warehouse Associates will work approximately 25 hours per week with a starting hourly pay rate of $22.

• Loading and unloading caskets and other memorialization products from various production facilities.
• Preparing products for delivery and unloading products to be stored in our warehouse.
• Scanning products, pulling correct orders and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• 1+ year of previous warehouse experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work 5–6 hour shifts on your feet, walking, pushing, pulling products.
• Self‑motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high.
