To reach our community with the Gospel of Christ with a specific intent to reach children, students, and families who regularly visit our campus as a part of our church ministries and ministry partners, such as the weekday preschool, Artios Academy, and i9 Sports.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- 2-3 years of pastoral leadership experience, including experience with leading children, students, and/or families
The Next Generation Pastor serves as a ministry leader to the children and students attending our church and coming to our campus. The Next Generation Pastor will work alongside the part-time children’s ministry director and part-time student ministry director to lead our next generation in their walk with Christ. The Next Generation Pastor will work intentionally to build relationships with children, students, and families who frequent our campus through our church ministry partners.

- Strong Interpersonal Skills – An ability to build relationships with the families and children of our church, leaders of our ministry partners, kids who frequent our campus, and their families. The pastor must feel comfortable building relationships with both children, students, and adults.
- Communication Skills – Meet, greet, and minister to the 100s of people who frequent our campus.
- Cross-cultural Competence – Our church sits in one of the most diverse communities in the state. A pastor at Mountain Park Church must have a heart for a diverse community and an ability to cross cultural barriers. Mountain Park Church currently hosts three non-English speaking church plants on our campus. Also, the community members who frequent our campus during the week are a diverse group.
- Spiritual maturity, a clear calling to ministry, and a love of God and His people
- Active member and participant in the life of the Church
- Demonstrated record of effective leadership and integrity
- Effective relational and communication skills
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the Church
- Partner with our Pastoral Leadership Team, staff, and lay volunteers to accomplish the mission of the church
- Work alongside the children’s ministry director to plan and implement Sunday morning worship and Bible study for elementary students.
- Ensure that all volunteers have completed the required Ministry Safe requirements.
- Ensure volunteers are in place for Sunday morning kids ministry.
- Build relationships with parents as the church and parents partner together to disciple children.
- Work with the children’s ministry director and other volunteers to implement summer camps.
- Work alongside the part-time student director to plan and implement Sunday evening student fellowship, worship, and Bible study.
- Build relationships with students in prayerful hopes of making disciples.
- Ensure that all volunteers have completed the required Ministry Safe requirements.
- Ensure volunteers are in place for Sunday morning middle and high school Bible Study and Sunday evening student ministry.
- Work with the student ministry director and other volunteers to implement missions and camps.
- Consider yourself a missionary to our students and families who are brought onto the church campus weekly.
- Meet and greet students and families of our weekday preschool, Artios Academy, and i9 Sports. Attend their large on-campus events. Build relationships in any way possible.
- Bridge the gaps between our church ministry partners to meet the needs of students and families.
