Office_Substitute School Counselor; Supply

To be considered, your application must be complete and include:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education, or a closely related field.
• At least two (2) years of counseling experience with at-risk youth or related areas.
• Valid Professional Standards Commission certificate in guidance and counseling at level S-5 or higher.
• Two professional references.

Under general supervision, provides students with a comprehensive guidance program promoting self-esteem, responsible behavior, career exploration, and educational planning. Collaborates with staff, community resources, students, and parents to develop and implement support programs.

• Implement guidance programs; conduct classroom guidance sessions.
• Support student transitions between grades.
• Coordinate with staff to support school activities and improve the learning environment.
• Interpret test scores for students and parents.
• Participate in student support team and 504 meetings.
• Consult with teachers and parents; provide external resources.
• Monitor attendance and address issues.
• Foster positive relationships with families and students.
• Mediates conflicts and completes social worker referrals as needed.

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education, or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant counseling experience.
• Valid guidance and counseling certificate (S-5 or above).

No certificates, licenses, or permits are required.
