We are urgently seeking reliable and experienced Warehouse Counterbalance Forklift Drivers (weekends only) to join the groupage team at our Stoke on Trent site. This is an immediate start – please apply today!

• Weekend rate – £15.21 per hour (Saturday & Sunday 6am to 4pm)

• The role will entail the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of all customers’ goods to ensure they are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity adheres to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Unloading and loading cargo to and from warehouse and vehicles using a forklift truck, pallet truck VNA MHE or by hand.
• Loading international groupage trailers in accordance with loading plans, picking and packing orders to ensure they are delivered on time and in full.
• Wrap and unwrap goods.
• Stock management.
• Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt.
• Keep careful records of everything that comes in and goes out of the warehouse.
• Daily housekeeping within the Warehouse and site.

• Applicants must have worked in a logistics/warehouse environment before and have previous loading/unloading vehicle experience and experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift truck.
• Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driving licence is essential.
• Previous experience in loading international groupage trailers would be an advantage.
• Order pick and stock count.
• Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
• Ability to function well as part of a team.
• Diligent attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work under pressure.
