Responsibilities- Ensure the efficient daily running of the Cashiers Office
- Responsible for receiving and recording monies from around the Trust. Taking and processing card payments either in person or via the telephone.
- Responsible for reconciling and preparing all income for banking and collection by the courier company.
- Responsible for the receipt and safekeeping of patient's monies and valuables and lost property (valuables) and returning the property to the appropriate individual.
- Payment of patient travelling expenses in line with the Healthcare Travel Costs guidelines.
- Handling petty cash reimbursements.
- Deal with enquiries from patients, relatives, member of the public and Trust staff by telephone or in person.
- There will be an element of lone working and the post holder on occasions will need to make informed decisions regarding reimbursement of travelling expenses.
