Retail Assistant - Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Longton, Staffordshire. We offer a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours worked over 4 days from each week, including weekends.

• Pay rates: £10.10 per hour for ages 16-20, £12.31 per hour for ages 21+.

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression.
• Handle stock with care, working deliveries and quickly placing products in freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of your team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• Friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy and able to jump between delivering, serving at the till, helping customers, and completing cleaning and stock rotation routines.
• Reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team; dependability is essential.
• Flexibility with shifts, including covering for teammates during holidays; rota is planned three weeks in advance and outside commitments are considered.
